Mac & Mac Electric began installing electric home stand by generators powered by propane or natural gas in Whatcom county since the 1970’s. In 2020 we began installing whole home back up battery systems as well. While propane & gas powered generators need to run monthly for a self test and require fuel and oil changes.

Whole home back up batteries offer stand by power and can also run homes off grid during peak use hours. This removes home loads from the utility grid on a daily basis during high use grid peak hours.

Our installed Back-up battery systems can also charge and be recharged by electric cars when also plugged into the home battery if the car is configured to do so.
