Electric generators powered by propane or natural gas offer stand by emergency power for use during power outages. Mac & Mac Electric has been installing these in Whatcom county since the 1970’s. In 2020 we began installing whole home back up battery systems as well. While propane & gas powered generators need to run monthly for a self test and require fuel and oil changes.

Whole home back up batteries offer stand by power and can also run homes off grid during peak use hours. This removes home loads from the utility grid on a daily basis during grid peak hours.
